Rules

I: Be courteous and respectful to your fellow Refugees.

This rule is the most important. If you treat others with respect, the other rules happen anyway.

II: Act mature and responsible.

Regardless of your age, we expect you to act like a mature adult. This means both in the way you come across in Mumble and Guild Chat, and how you deal with others. We consider this guild to be mature, therefore mature language and ideas may occassionally be expressed. If you have a serious problem with someone, talk to them privately or bring it to the attention of an Officer. Shouting matches in /g or Mumble are unacceptable.

III: Keep Reddit on Reddit.

I know we all came from Reddit, but that doesn't mean we need to bring the worst parts of it with us. Keep the memes and circlejerking there.

IV: No profiting from guildees.

Do. Not. Profit. From. Guildees. For the most part, try not to sell items to your fellow Refugees. This does not prohibit asking for the money to create something for someone (I think an 18-slot bag costs like 50 silver for the rune?). There are exceptions: if you have a great exotic weapon, or some extremely valuable crafting mats, you can ask for some recompense; however we expect the price to guildees to be between 50-75% of market cost. Do not seek to make a PROFIT from guildees.

V: Give the Chain of Command a chance to solve problems.

Bring any issues you have to an Officer first, and then allow us the chance to address the problem. Few problems are ever solved by bitching/whining/arguing/shouting in guild chat, the subreddit, or Mumble.

VI: Have a sense of humor.

If there are two ways to take someone's comment, and one is offensive and one is funny, assume it's meant to be funny. A simple thing, but if everyone follows it we'll all have a lot more fun.

VII: Ignorance is no excuse.

It is your responsibility to know these rules. If they change, the Officers will do their best to alert everyone, but ultimately it is your responsibility to know and follow these simple rules. Punishments for breaking these rules will be at the discression of the Officers and Guild Leader.

VIII: Have fun!

This is a game! Have fun! If you're not having fun, or something is really bothering you, log off and do something else for a bit.
